Luke has been litigating personal injury cases for over a decade and a half. Prior to joining Goldblatt + Singer, Luke spent over 11 years with an insurance defense firm in Belleville, Illinois, handling cases all over Southern Illinois and the St. Louis metro area. Since then, he has been prosecuting wrongful death, product liability, premise liability and personal injury cases on behalf of injured plaintiffs in the St. Louis metro area and throughout the country.
For over 11 years as a civil defense attorney, Luke litigated against some of the area’s best plaintiff’s lawyers, where he gained a wealth of knowledge and inspiration. This, along with his upbringing in a working-class family in Southern Illinois, propelled him to switch sides to represent injured plaintiffs and our clients here at Goldblatt + Singer.
Luke particularly enjoys fighting for injured clients in the courtroom and at trial, as well as any opportunity to research, prepare and argue motions and appeals on their behalf. Luke’s extensive experience in personal injury and wrongful death cases, on behalf of both defendants and plaintiffs, gives him the insight and knowledge on how to best navigate cases to successful completion. He prides himself on providing first class service to each client and has been successful in all stages of litigation, from discovery and motion practice to settlement, mediation, arbitration, appeals and trial. Luke has been involved in appeals in the Illinois Fourth District Appellate Court, Illinois Fifth District Appellate Court, Illinois Supreme Court and the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as over 15 trials, including ten to completion.
Luke is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri and Southern District of Illinois. He earned his two undergraduate degrees from Southeast Missouri State University, where he also served two terms as the Student Government President. His law degree is from St. Louis University School of law. Luke was born and raised in Illinois, but now lives in St. Louis, MO with his two amazing daughters.
