Two pedestrians walking on a sidewalk at the intersection of Kienlen and Evanston avenues in Wellston were fatally struck when a car veered onto the sidewalk to avoid a collision with another car. St. Louis County police are investigating.

A tractor trailer travelling on Interstate 55 blew a tire and was struck by a car before the 18 wheeler could safely get to the side of the road. The woman, Erin L. Nabe-Jenkins from Imperial, was killed when her vehicle struck the back of the truck. Failing to properly maintain tractor trailers can often lead to deadly crashes.
