Phil Young

Phil Young brings over 23 years of experience in finance and leadership to his role as Chief Financial Officer at Goldblatt + Singer. With a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and minors in Economics and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Phil has built a career rooted in analytical thinking.

Phil discovered his passion for accounting and economics during his early college years, transitioning from a pre-law focus to a career in finance. His professional journey has taken him through various industries, including the restaurant sector and public accounting, where he held titles such as Vice President of Finance, CFO, and COO. In his words, a law firm is a “perfect marriage” of his initial interest in law and his expertise in finance. Since joining Goldblatt + Singer, he has continued to leverage his deep industry knowledge to support the firm’s financial health and growth.

Originally from rural eastern North Carolina, Phil has always been driven by a passion for growth and improvement. Whether mentoring his team, supporting his children’s aspirations, or exploring outdoor adventures in Colorado, he believes in striving to be better each day. A proud father of two, Phil counts raising his sons as his greatest personal achievement.

In his downtime, Phil enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and photography. While he doesn’t currently have pets, he’s a devoted dog person with plans to adopt in the future. His commitment to excellence and his enthusiasm for challenges make him an integral part of the Goldblatt + Singer team.
