On October 13th, 2024, Goldblatt + Singer, St. Louis’ premier personal injury law firm, proudly took part in the annual Walk Like MADD event, hosted by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). As the Advocate Sponsor for this impactful event, we were thrilled to stand alongside community members, survivors, and supporters in a powerful show of unity and resolve. Together, we walked to raise awareness and funds to help end drunk driving and support its victims.
MADD’s mission has always been close to our hearts at Goldblatt + Singer. As a law firm dedicated to personal injury cases, we have seen first-hand the devastation that drunk driving can cause to individuals and families. Partnering with MADD for this event was an opportunity to further support the organization’s tireless efforts to prevent drunk driving and to advocate for those who have been affected by these preventable tragedies.
The event, held in beautiful weather, was a resounding success! Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of the participants, the Walk Like MADD event raised over $26,000 to fight against drunk driving. This impressive fundraising effort will directly aid MADD’s initiatives, including providing emotional support to victims, raising awareness about the dangers of impaired driving, and advancing the movement to strengthen legislation that saves lives.
At Goldblatt + Singer, we believe in supporting the causes that align with our values, and nothing is more important to us than the safety of our community. Every year, thousands of lives are impacted by drunk driving. Events like Walk Like MADD play a crucial role in raising awareness, educating the public, and reminding people of the importance of responsible driving. The funds raised from the walk will be used to continue vital programs like victim advocacy services, public education campaigns, and support for stronger DUI laws.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who walked, donated, and volunteered their time and energy to this important cause. Your contributions make a significant difference in the fight to end drunk driving. We also want to recognize the amazing efforts of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, an organization that has been at the forefront of this issue for decades, advocating for safer roads and supporting the families who have suffered because of impaired driving.
As an Advocate Sponsor, our firm is proud to have played a key role in this event’s success. It was truly inspiring to see such a diverse group of people—victims’ families, law enforcement officers, concerned citizens, and local businesses—come together for a common goal. By walking side by side, we sent a clear message: we are committed to making our streets safer and ensuring that no family has to endure the pain of losing a loved one to drunk driving.
