Four-Vehicle Crash Injures at Least Three in Kirkwood

A four-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning along northbound Interstate 270 has injured two women and a woman. Kirkwood police said it wasn’t immediately clear what caused the crash, but that a tractor-trailer pinned a car against the median and another car and van were involved as well. The two people who were in the car pinned to the median were rescued out of the car and taken to Mercy Hospital. A third individual from another vehicle was also taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment, and none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

The victims who were injured were conscious and talking on their way to the hospital, and two additional crashes were reported nearby shortly after the first wreck. Thousands of car accidents occur on a daily basis throughout the United States, creating millions of victims every year. Many of these accidents are avoidable and occur because of the negligence, carelessness or recklessness on the part of another driver.
