St. Charles Man Arrested for DWI & Other Charges in Fatal Crash

A 22-year-old St. Charles man has been arrested after a passenger in his minivan was killed following a DUI crash in Maryland Heights on Tuesday. He was driving the minivan on the highway when he hit the back of another car and overturned several times. He was thrown from the minivan and suffered minor injuries along with two other passengers in the car. The third passenger, a 23-year-old Caseyville man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was arrested by Missouri Highway Patrol an hour after the accident on suspicion of voluntary manslaughter, second-degree felony assault and misdemeanor driving.
